Summary:
The U.S. Embassy Kathmandu is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of General Services/ Travel Clerk. All interested candidates can apply.
The working schedule for the position is full time- 40 hour per week
Duties of Applicants:
The candidates serve as a sub-cashier and timekeeper for the General Services Office and perform administrative and clerical duties. S/he also serves as Government Technical Monitor (GTM) and a travel arranger. The candidates prepare travel authorizations (TAs) for both domestic and international travel and process travel vouchers. Also holds a Centrally Billed Account (CBA) for charging of all air ticket for official travel. And also process visa applications for third-country travel and in-country travel.
Qualifications and Evaluations:
Experience:
At least 2 years of general office/clerical experience is required
Job Knowledge:
Sound Knowledge of general office procedures, data entry and use of various office equipment.
Education Requirement:
Completion of Secondary School is required.
Bachelor's Degree holders must be given more preference.
Evaluations:
Must be tested- Language, skills, and abilities
Language:
Reading/ writing/ speaking English is required
Reading/ writing/ speaking Nepali is required
Skills and Abilities:
The ability to use various computer application- MS Office Package such as Word, Excel, Outlook
